Amendment of G'zen 808 and extension of G'zen 225 to Sembawang

Amendments to Bt Batok, Bt Panjang and Choa Chu Kang student services

With effect from 15 August 2005, amendments will be made to the student services in Bt Batok, Bt Panjang and Choa Chu Kang.

G'zen 300 will be amended to call at Choa Chu Kang Interchange after serving CCK Aves 1/2/3/4/5, and continuing on its journey to Teck Whye thereafter.

G'zen 333 will be amended to serve Bt Batok West Ave 8 first, thereafter calling at Bt Batok Int and continuing on its journey to Bt Batok East and Toh Tuck. Route adjustments are also made. G'zen 333 will also be renumbered as G'zen 307.

G'zen 335G/W will be modified and renumbered to become G'zen 308, serving Bt Batok West Ave 5 and Bt Batok Rd.

The operating hours and frequency of the student services in the three towns, namely G'zen 300, 301, 302, 303, 306, 307 and 308, will also be unified. The first bus will leave their respective interchanges at 0530 while the last bus will leave at 2200, with the frequency set at an average of 4 to 9 minutes.

New library services G'zen 48 and 49, celebrations for new Library building opening

With the opening of the new National Library building on 22nd July 2005, G'zen will start 2 new library services, G'zen 48 and 49, from 15 July 2005. Together with G'zen 47, currently plying between Serangoon and Marina Centre, these services will help to bring passengers from different parts of the island to the new National Library.

To celebrate the opening of the Library, G'zen Ltd will be giving away 5,000 Popular $10 vouchers and McDonald's $10 vouchers between 15 July 2005 and 24 July 2005. Passengers on board G'zen 47, 48 and 49 will receive a scratchcard which gives them a chance to win the vouchers. In addition, fares will be halved on these services between 22 July and 24 July.

G'zen 48 and 49 will operate between 0600 and 2300 hours at 4 - 7 minute frequencies. G'zen 47 will also be adjusted to operate at the above timings.

New student services G'zen 301 and G'zen 302, withdrawal of G'zen 360

New student services G'zen 301 and G'zen 302 will begin operations from 11 July 2005. These services will provide links between Choa Chu Kang and schools in Yew Tee, and improve connections within Choa Chu Kang North. They will operate between 0530 and 2230 hours at 3 to 7 minute-intervals.

In addition, with the introduction of these services, G'zen 360 will be withdrawn from 15 July 2005. Frequencies of G'zen 360 will be amended to 10 - 20 minutes, to encourage passengers to take the new services.

Amendment to G'zen 407 and new G'zen 406

G'zen will amend student service G'zen 407 and introduce a new service G'zen 406 from 3 May 2005.

G'zen 407 will now be a loop service from Bishan, serving Bishan Int, Guangyang Pri & Sec, Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Pri & Sec, ITE College Central (Bishan), MOE Language Centre and Bishan MRT. Other operating details remain unchanged.

The new student service G'zen 406 will be a Toa Payoh loop service, serving Kheng Cheng School, Pei Chun Public and First Toa Payoh Pri and Sec. It will operate between 0545 and 2100 hours with a frequency of 3 to 5 minutes.

Incorporation of G'zen Ltd

From 7 March 2005, G'zen Ltd, a subsidary of Ginko Securities, will begin operations.

G'zen (pronounced Gen with soft z) provides students (and parents) a pleasant way to travel to their schools. 23 services have been inherited from XY Buses, another subsidary of Ginko Securities, which holds 25% shares in G'zen.

As our services are student-centric, we have their welfare in mind. Breakfast is provided on morning buses, while finger food is provided on evening buses. Soothing music will also be played on board during test/examination periods.

As a directive by Ginko Securities, G'zen will cooperate with XY Buses and operations will complement that of XY Buses'.

G'zen Ltd is a member company of the TransPacific Alliance.
